Baby Shower Thank You Notes

Baby Shower Thank You Notes - Tips
You’ve undoubtedly already thanked your guests at the shower, but you still need to send handwritten notes.   Baby gift thank you cards should be sent out as soon as possible after the event. Try to get them out within a week or two of the shower, but definitely no more than a month later.  It’s fine to keep your baby gift notes short and sweet, adding a personal touch whenever possible.  You might want to use relevant sayings, poems (see below) or quotes to show your appreciation.
If a guest came to the shower, first thank them for that. Where relevant, describe specifically how you plan to use a gift that was given, or say what you plan to buy with the money, gift card, or gift certificate.  People want to know that their gift is being used and appreciated.

Baby Gift Thank You Thanks for the Meals:
“Dear [Name],
I'm almost too full to write but I had to let you know how much we appreciated all the meals you cooked and arranged for us. A new baby is always an adjustment so you can imagine what triplets have done to our household. Thankfully, we did not have to cook for weeks due to you. I can't tell you what a relief it was to know there was a delicious home-cooked dinner waiting for us every night. And on top of the comfort of knowing the food was there, everything you sent was just fantastic. When I get my wits about me, I will be asking for those recipes.
  Thank you again so much!”

Baby Gift Thank You Ideas for an Unknown Gift
There are a few ways to address this issue without admitting you have forgotten which gift came from your guest. One way is to use a thank you quote or baby shower thank you poem plus an added line or two from you.
You can use a poem such as the following, which you might want to supplement with a short note:
“I wanted to say thank you.
Daddy says thank you, too.
Baby will say thanks I'm sure
right around when he/she turns two.”
Then add:
“Thank you not only for coming to the shower, but for bringing such a wonderful gift. It was that much more of a special occasion because you were there.”
Alternatively, can use this as wording for a quick note:
“Thank you for your joyous presence and your most generous present. Your friendship and loving wishes for our growing family is the gift I cherish most. Thank you!”
Finally, there is always the option of you or your gift recorder calling the guest and pointing out the oversight.  These things happen to everyone, after all.
